Dale Garn SOFT MERINO is spun from 100% extra fine, natural merino wool. The yarn is not superwash-treated, preserving the wool’s natural properties. This means maximum elasticity and excellent warmth and insulation, even when the garment is damp or wet. The result is a unique and eco-friendly merino yarn without any form of plastic coating.

We recommend it for all types of knitting projects and techniques, from classic pattern knitting and textured stitches to cables and lace, as well as for crochet. Due to the particularly fine wool fibers, which provide a unique softness, the yarn is especially recommended for baby and children’s garments, while remaining equally suitable for fine knitting for adults.

SOFT MERINO is RWS certified. This guarantees that the wool comes from farms that ensure both sustainable land management and animal welfare, with mulesing strictly prohibited. The RWS label guarantees sustainable production from farm to finished yarn. You can knit with Soft Merino, Dale Baby Ull, and Lille Lerke using the same pattern. SOFT MERINO can be felted, but keep in mind that bleached white yarn CANNOT be felted (natural white is unbleached).
